What can I do to improve the soil in my garden?

One of the best soil additives on the market is mushroom compost. Spread a half inch to 2 inches of mushroom compost on your garden (preferably before planting) and then work it into the soil with a shovel or tiller. The mushroom compost both fertilizes and adds organic matter to the soil which improves moisture retention and soil structure. Working a significant amount of mushroom compost into your soil will dramatically improve the look of your garden. If you're a skeptic, try using mushroom compost on part of your garden. Over the course of a season, you will see a significant improvement in the area you have added the mushroom compost and you will be back for more to add to the rest of your garden!

Even if you're just looking for a more natural alternative to chemical fertilizers, mushroom compost is the way to go. The difference mushroom compost makes is equivalent to any fertilizer and the effect is much longer lasting, especially for poor quality soils.

Ozzie's stocks mushroom compost in convenient retail packages that are relatively neat and easy to transport. Just ask us to assist you in loading your car.
